Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

EZTasks (“we”, “us”) develops and publishes the EZTasks application for Apple platforms. For any question about this policy or your data, contact privacy@eztasks.no.

2. What the app stores

EZTasks stores the content you create in the app — tasks and subtasks, time entries, calendar items, inventory and stock counts, notes, mileage trips, group chat messages, deviation reports and your app settings. This content lives in a local database on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, syncs to the private CloudKit database tied to your own Apple Account.

We have no access to that private database. Apple provides the sync infrastructure; the data is governed by your Apple Account and Apple's own privacy terms.

3. What we collect

We do not collect your app content. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not build a profile of you.

• Crash and performance reports — only if you have opted into sharing them with developers in your iOS settings. These come from Apple, are aggregated, and contain no personal content.
• Purchase records — subscriptions are handled by Apple. We receive anonymised sales and subscription reports; we never see your payment details.
• Support correspondence — if you email us, we keep the message and your address for as long as it takes to help you, and no longer than necessary.

4. Location and motion

If you use the mileage log, EZTasks asks for permission to use your location while the app is in use, so it can record trip distance. We never request background (“Always”) location. Location data is used only to produce your own trip records, is stored with your other app data, and is never transmitted to us or to any third party. You can decline or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings; the rest of the app continues to work.

5. Sharing and collaboration

When you share tasks or use group chat with colleagues, that content is shared through Apple's CloudKit sharing with the people you choose. Everyone participating uses their own Apple Account. We are not a party to the share and do not hold a copy.

6. Your rights and control

Because your data sits in your own storage, you are in direct control of it. You can edit or delete any record in the app, export your data, disable iCloud sync, or remove the app and its data entirely. Under the GDPR you also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection with respect to any data we do hold — which is limited to the categories in section 3. Write to privacy@eztasks.no and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

EZTasks is a professional work tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the app's release notes. Continued use of EZTasks after an update means you accept the revised policy.
